There are so many videos on YouTube that it may seem overwhelming to find some of interest to you. There’s an easy way to always find videos you like. Companies, bands, and others set up channels for their videos. You can subscribe to them so they’re easily accessible for you, and you can set it so you receive email notifications when the channel owners upload a new video. Instructions and channel examples are below.
Preliminary Step: Create a YouTube account
Find and Subscribe to a YouTube Channel
1. Log in to your YouTube account.
2. Search for a channel to which to subscribe.
You can search for a specific item (such as a band) or a broader topic. For some popular channels, such as those for bands or companies, you may want to select an “offical” channel. These are usually noted as such in the search results and on the channel itself. Examples of different channels are included below.
3. In the search results, click the channel name.
The channel page displays.
4. Click Subscribe.
A “subscribed” notice displays.
5. Subscribed button > Gear icon
6. Select your channel subscription preferences.
